With Ives 1sts on the sidelines due to a home walkover, most of that side were at the Chicken Shack to support the 2nds. Roared on by the support, the Bulls 2nds put on a fine display to smash their opponents by ten tries to 1.
This was a fine team performance with those playing keen to impress the onlooking coaching staff and press their claims for elevation.
Ives ability to break the gain line and finish with the support mean that Mildenhall had no chance to gain a foothold in the game.
Youngster Declan O’Neill continued his development with a rumbustious outing, ending with four tries.
Matt Millar score twice, including a lovely grubber to the corner, beating the last defender.
Mildenhall did well to fight back for a converted score just before half time, but the flood continued in the second half as Ives took complete control.
Mortimers Ed and Elliot (no relation), newcomer Jacob Wood and Sam Vivers all scored to complete the rout.
Special mention for referee rachel, whose calm control and explanations contributed to the enjoyment of the game - for both sides.
The only dampener on proceedings, was a late head knock for a visiting player which required medical assistance. We all wish him well and a speedy recovery.
