Our little squad of eight took on the thirty four players (apparently they had twenty missing) from Ampthill. Although we lost all three matches they were all close matches and our boys ran them hard and showed determination throughout.

THere was some great plays all round, James ran in a couple of tries using his speed on the wings, some good tackles from Josh and some great runs from Harry; but man of the match for his ball carrying and distance this week goes to George.

Thorney at home next week, bring on the big kids.

Take the A1 south to the black cat roundabout, then right on to the A421. Half way round the Bedford southern by-pass leave the A421 onto the A6 South (signposted for Luton). Stay on the A6, past Elstow, Wilstead, and Haynes Church end, beware there are many speed cameras along this section.

Turn right at the Clophill (Beefeater) roundabout onto the A507.
Stay on the A507 past the 1st Flitwick roundabout, and carry straight on over the 2nd (one-o-one Ford garage/A5120) roundabout.
Turn right at the next roundabout, taking the A507 (Ampthill bypass) towards Ridgemont.
Past the industrial estate (on the left), take the right turn for Ampthill (B530, Woburn St.).
Ampthill Park is on the left, with the Rugby Club on the Right.

Allow about 45/50 minutes from St Ives to meet about 0945 for a warm up
