game 1 saw ely kick off and were soon on the attack but st ives were in excellent tackling mood . hooker ewan cameron white and prop michael cocksedge outstanding in the tackle, but ely were not going to be undone by this and after 5 min they opened the scoring.player of the day bradley robinson made a lot of his trade mark runs but support was slow to stay wih him and from turnover ball ely managed to score twice more .
game 2 was much of the same with both sides trying to play attacking rugby and joesph cox at scrum half making a lot of runs only to be stopped short of the line twice. ely with their well drilled side broke st ives down slowly and ran in 4 tries and only james mallads brilliant cover tackle at the end prevented try number 5. apart from two defeats this was a much improved performace from st ives
